BEFORE YOU INSTALL.

Microsoft Word required for integration

The Word integration feature requires Microsoft Word (Microsoft 365 or Office 2019+) installed locally. Recall communicates with Word via COM automation. Word Online is not supported.

NVIDIA GPU acceleration

If you have an NVIDIA GPU with CUDA support, Recall can use it for faster embedding generation. This is optional — CPU-only mode works for all features, just at lower speed for large batch indexing.

Server mode available

If your PC doesn't meet the recommended specs, you can connect to a Recall Server on your network. The desktop client stays lightweight while the server handles embedding and inference. Word integration still works locally.
